The Vice-President

 

In the event of the resignation of the President during the term of office, the President-Elect shall in addition assume the duties of the President for the remainder of that term. In the absence of the President the duties of the office shall be performed by the President-Elect.  The Vice-President/President Elect is the chair of the Programme Committee.

 

Duties:

 

  1. Presides at meetings of the Association in the absence of the President.

     

  2. Represents the President at meetings and functions of other organizations that the President is unable to attend.

     

  3. Assumes presidential responsibilities should the office of the President be vacated before the end of his/her term.

     

  4. During the year, will be aware of any changes of procedure that should be incorporated into the Handbook and prepares an updated copy of the Handbook before the Annual General Meeting.  Any changes should be presented to the Executive for review before incorporating.

     

  5. Submits the annual Chapter Report prior to the CHLA annual conference, and acts as a correspondent to JCHLA.

     

  6. Completes the MAHIP Programme report for each activity and forwards it to the MAHIP Secretary for the official record.

     

  7. Recruits a Webmaster and ensures the appropriate acknowledgement of his/her work, such as a gift or free meal at the Christmas luncheon.

 

      8. Submit the CHLA/ABSC Journal Club Registration information to the CE Coordinator every January.
